TGIF Rentals Policies
Booking & Payment
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
The remaining balance is due 30 days before check-in.
Guest Identification
For everyone’s safety and security, we require a valid, government-issued photo ID for the primary guest. The name on the ID must match the name on the reservation and payment method. Please upload your ID when requesting to book… reservations without ID provided within 48 hours will be canceled.We accept payment by credit card through our secure booking system.
Cancellations
Full refund if canceled more than 30 days before arrival.
50% refund if canceled 14–29 days before arrival.
No refund for cancellations made less than 14 days before arrival.
Trip insurance is strongly recommended for unexpected changes.
Security Deposit
A $500 refundable security deposit hold is placed on your card 2 days before arrival.
The hold is released within 7 days after checkout, provided there is no damage, missing items, or excessive cleaning required.
Check-In / Check-Out
Check-in: 4:00 PM or later
Check-out: 10:00 AM
Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request for an additional fee.
House Rules
No smoking or vaping inside the property.
No pets unless pre-approved in writing.
Only registered guests are permitted to stay overnight.
Quiet hours are 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
Please treat the home and its furnishings with care.
Cleaning
Our properties are professionally cleaned and sanitized between each stay.
Please leave the home in reasonable condition at checkout.
Taxes
Clear Lake (Stone House): Subject to 5% Iowa state hotel/motel tax + 7% Clear Lake lodging tax (total 12%).
Norwalk (Brownstone): Stays over 90 days are exempt from occupancy tax.
Occupancy Tax: Iowa lodging tax applies to stays under 90 consecutive days. If your reservation is extended to 90+ days, the tax will be refunded for the full stay in accordance with state law.
Liability
TGIF Rentals is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur on the premises.
Guests are responsible for their personal belongings and valuables.
